Join us for a lively and highly participatory Book Club dedicated to Ocean Vuong’s acclaimed novel On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous.

Through open conversation and shared reflection, we will explore the novel’s distinctive voice and some of the themes at its heart: identity, family, memory, migration, love, language and belonging. Rather than a traditional lecture, this book club is conceived as a space to exchange ideas, ask questions and discover how different perspectives can enrich our experience of the novel.

The session will be facilitated by Lucía Serrano Rocavado, a literature lover and cultural facilitator. A lawyer with a particular interest in international rights, Lucía brings together her passion for literature and her commitment to meaningful dialogue. She creates welcoming spaces for thoughtful, open and honest conversations around contemporary literature, encouraging participants to share their own perspectives and engage with those of others.

The book club is designed for English-speaking readers as well as anyone interested in reading, discussing and enjoying literature in English. You don’t need to be a native speaker — just bring your curiosity, your thoughts and your enthusiasm for books.
